Oats Upama

Ingredients:
1 cup - white oats
2 cups - hot water
1 green chilly - chopped
1/2 onion - finely chopped
coriander leaves - finely chopped
salt - as per taste
1 tspn Ghee / Oil
1 pinch Mustard seeds

Method:
1] In a microwave or tava, roast the white oats and keep aside. Simultaneously, keep Hot water ready
2] In a nonstick container, heat ghee / oil and add mustard seeds. Let them pop.
3] Add urad dal and let it turn golden brown, to this add salt, chopped green chilly and onion.
4] Add roasted White Oats to this and saute for a min
5] Add Hot water to this and let it cook on a low flame for 5 mins

Serve hot!!
Enjoy this healthy breakfast and believe me its very filling too :) :)

Tava Pulav

Ingredients:
1 katori Rice - Cooked
1/2 Capsicum - chopped
1/2 Tomato - chopped
1/2 katori Green peas
Pav Bhaji masala - 1 tspb
Salt - as per taste
Cumin Seeds - 1 pinch
Ghee - 1 tspn


Method:
1] Heat 1 tspn ghee in one non-stick tava, once hot, add Cumin seeds
2] To this add, green peas, capsicum and tomato and saute for 5 mins.
3] Add pav bhaji masala and salt and saute for 2 mins
4] Add Cooked Rice to this mixture and let it cook on low flame for 5 mins

Its simple and very tasty :) :)
when i was a kid i use to enjoy this on pav bhaji thelas in nagpur :)

Chicken Corn Clear Soup

Chicken Corn Soup –
Ingredients:
Boneless chicken ( small pieces ) – boil the chicken in some water and with a fork shred it and keep it aside with the water ( Do not drain the water )
Corn kernels
Coriander leaves – finely chopped
Olive oil – 1 tspn
Salt – as per taste
Green Chilly – 2 – give a slit – don’t chop
Mixed Herbs – if available
Method –
1. In a container, put Olive Oil, once it is hot, put Corn kernels Рsaut̩ for a min
2. Put Coriander leaves, salt, green chillies, pinch of Herbs and sauté for 1-2 mins
3. Put the shredded chicken alongwith stalk ( water) in this
4. Let it boil on low flame for 5-10 mins

Note: This is a clear soup so we dont add cornflour in this. This Soup is very healthy too.

Serving Tip – Serve Hot with Garlic Bread

Saucy Chocolate Cake Fudge



This recipe was given to me by my friend and i tried it today, took the pic :) and thought of sharing with you all....It takes 15 mins to make this and is really Yummmmy

Part 1- ingredients for cake

1 cup maida

1/3 cup + 2 tablespoon oil

2 table spoon cocoa powder

½ cup milk

2 teaspoon baking powder( small teaspoon otherwise make it 1 teaspoon)

½ cup sugar

Pinch of salt

Part 2 – ingredients for sauce

1 and 1/2 cup water (hot)

3/4 cup sugar

4 tablespoon cocoa

Mix ingredients in Part 1 to a paste and put it in the microwave baking dish.

Mix ingredients for syrup (part 2) and bring it to a boil. Boil on low flame for 3 minutes.

Pour the syrup over the part1 mixture and microwave on high (1000W) for 4-5 minutes.

Enjoy with vanilla ice-cream or cream icing :) :)

Palak Khichadi

Ingredients: 
Rice - 1 katori
Spinach - 7-8 leaves
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Salt - as per taste
Red chilly powder - as per taste
Cumin seeds
Ghee - 1 teaspoon

Method:
1. Wash and drain the rice and keep aside for 5 mins
2. Wash Spinach and grind it. make a Puree out of it and keep it aside. 
3. Take a cooker, add 1 teaspoon ghee. Add Cumin seeds. 
4. Add palak puree to this mixture and let it boil for 1 min
5. Add salt, chilly powder as per taste
6. Add rice to this mixture and Saute it for a min. 
7. Add 1 katori water - or more - this depends on how you like your khichadi to be. If you like your khichadi to be soft then add more water. But remember, we have added palak puree which has water in it. 
8. Close the cooker and let it cook. 

Your palak khichadi is ready - Healthy too :)

Maharashtrian Kadhi-Pakodi


Ingredients: (servings - 4)
For Pakodi / Gole (in marathi) -
       Chana dal - 1 katori 
       Toor Dal - 1/4th katori
       Coriander Leaves
       Green Chilly - as per requirement
       Salt - as per taste
       
For Kadhi - 
       khatta Dahi / sour Curd - 3  to 4  katoris
       Turmeric Powder - as per requirement
       Curry Leaves - 6 to 7 
       Cumin Seeds
       Salt - as per taste
       Coriander Leaves
       Finely grated Ginger
       Besan - 3 to 4 teaspoons ( or as per your requirment, but keep in mind, we dont want thick kadhi, we want it to be thin ) 
For Tadka - This has to be made just before eating
       Oil - 3 Tspns
       Mustard Seeds
       Finely chopped Garlic
     
Method - 
For Pakodi / Gole - 
 1. Soak chana dal and toor dal for 3-4 hrs 
 2. Take chana dal and toor dal, add finely chopped green chilly, salt, coriander leaves and grind it in mixer. Dont add water, grind it without adding water and it should be coarse not soft.
 3. Make small balls / gole of this mixture and keep it aside.

For Kadhi - 
 1. Take finely chopped Ginger in a bowl and add little water to it, so we get the Ginger water :)
 2. Take curd and add water to it. Also add 3 to 4 teaspoons besan to this. Mix well and let the mixture be fine and little watery.
 3. Take 1 teaspoon Oil in a container and add few cumin seeds once it is hot. 
 4. Add Turmeric and chopped green chilly to this.
 5. Add the curd-besan-water mixture to the container.  Add salt as per taste.
 6. Once it starts boiling, add Ginger water (squeeze ginger in the bowl, so you get ginger water), Curry leaves. Let it boil for 1-2 mins. 
 7. Now, add the pakodi / gole to this boiling kadhi and let it boil. DO NOT STIR as it may break the pakodi /gole.
 8. After 5 mins, add coriander leaves and your Kadhi is ready.

Tadka - 
 1. Take 3-4 teaspoons of oil in a small pan
 2. Add mustard seeds and let them pop. 
 3. Add finely chopped garlic to this and let it become golden brown / crispy. 

Serving Tip - Just before you eat this Kadhi , make the tadka and add it to individual's bowl of kadhi :) and enjoy it with roti / chawal or just like that :) :)

Its easy to make and yeah, there are less calories as we dont fry the pakodis.

Instant Aam ka Pana














Ingredients:
 Raw Mango - as per your requirement
Sugar - as per taste

Method:
1. Peel the Raw Mango and grate it. Keep the grated raw mango in one container.
2. Add sugar to this container and mix it with hand till sugar dissolves completely.
3. Add water to this mixture and keep for 5 mins.
4. Pour the water / aam ka pana in the glasses and Enjoy your drink

Serving tip: Those who like raw mango, you can add the grated raw mango mixture too in the glasses. 

Its easy to make and tastes amazing :)
